“The crew was off the roof in a day, and the garage outlet that never worked got fixed too. In January the lights were gone before I got home.”
Holiday and permanent trim lighting, Minneapolis
We hang the lights. We take them down.
Rooflines, trees and storefronts across the Twin Cities. We measure in October, install in November, fix any dark section through December, and come back in January to take it all down.

The season calendar
One season, four visits
Book your install week and your take-down day goes on the calendar with it.
- October
Book and measure
Pick an install week. We walk the roofline and the trees, or work from your photos, and send a written estimate.
- November
Install
The crew hangs the lights and sets the timer. Before we leave we show you the switch and the outlet.
- December
Lights on
If a section goes dark, text us a photo and we come back. Service visits through the season are on the estimate.
- January
Take-down
We come on the day booked at install, take every strand down, and wind and label it. Nothing is left on the gutters.
What we hang
Rooflines, trees, trim and storefronts
Every job is measured to the foot, so the strands fit the house instead of the other way around.

Rooflines and eaves
Clips along the shingle line, the gutters and the gables, cut to your measurements.
Holiday lights
Trees and shrubs
Strands wound up the trunk and out along the branches, and nets over shrubs.
Holiday lights
Permanent trim
A track under the eave that holds the lights all year, wired and permitted by a licensed electrician.
Permanent trim
Shops and restaurants
Window and eave lights on a schedule built around your hours and your landlord's rules.

Take-down
The tangle never comes into your house
People dread two things: the ladder in November and the box of knots the next year. We take both.
Each run is measured, so each strand is wound and labeled for where it hung. If you rebook, the crew starts from your own labeled runs instead of a pile.
Take-down day is set when you book the install
Every run is wound and labeled by where it hung
Dead sections are flagged before anything is put away

How pricing works
Every house is different, so we price after we measure. This is what moves the number.
What decides the price
Mostly how much house there is to outline. Length and height of the roofline come first, then trees and shrubs, then what we have to plug into.
Feet of roofline, and one story or two
Trees and shrubs, and how tall
Your outlet and timer, or a new one
Seasonal strands or a permanent track
What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
The estimate is written and lists each run: front gable, garage line, the maple by the walk. It says how long the price holds. It covers install, service visits through the season and take-down.
Includes: install, service visits, take-down
Not included: a new outdoor circuit or outlet
Not included: gutter or shingle repairs
What happens at the visit
A designer measures and photographs the roofline, finds your outdoor outlet and asks what you want lit. If the visit has a fee, the estimate says so and says whether it comes off the job.
When you get the number
A written number comes before anything is ordered or hung. If the plan changes, the change is a new line on the estimate and you agree to it before we start.
How and when you pay
A deposit holds your install week and the balance is due when the lights go on. The estimate states both amounts, and take-down is part of the season's price.
Materials and who buys them
We supply the strands, clips and timers, and they are listed on the estimate. If you own lights, we will hang them, and we tell you before the visit ends if they won't hold up outside.
Sample reviews
After the first season
“We needed the window lights up before we opened. They worked around our deliveries, and take-down was on the calendar before they left.”
“They told me my old outdoor outlet couldn't carry the load and added a new one. That is an electrician talking, not a decorator.”

Questions
Before you book
When should I book?
Install weeks fill in the order requests come in, so October gives you the most choice. The shop confirms your week in writing.
Who takes the lights down, and when?
We do. Take-down is booked with your install, in January, and your estimate says which week.
What if a section goes out in December?
Text a photo to our text line. We come back and fix it. Service visits during the season are on the estimate.
Do I need an outdoor outlet?
Most houses have one, but it may share a circuit that is already busy. We check it at the measuring visit. If a new outlet or a timer circuit is needed, an electrician adds it and it is priced as its own line.
Are you licensed and insured, and how do I check?
Our license is in the footer of every page, with the state board that issued it. Look us up with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, and ask us for the insurance certificate.
What about snow and ice?
We don't work on an icy or snow-covered roof. The job waits for a dry day, and the estimate says how a rescheduled install or take-down is handled.
